Purple Heys
Improper contra
A1
- 1s balance and swing partner
A2
- Balance and swing on the side
B1
- Right diagonal hey:
1s turn partner right about two thirds to face someone of the same sex in a right-diagonal line, pass
them left to start a hey for four
B2
- Left diagonal hey:
1s turn partner right about three quarters to face someone of the opposite sex in a left-diagonal line, pass
them left to start a hey for four
Strictly speaking the ones don't give hands to turn into the heys.
Note: the active man faces up on the diagonal to start each hey, the active woman diagonally down.
The twos will never hey with their partner, but will have a left-shadow and right-shadow starting at the
far end of each diagonal hey.
"Balance and swing; balance and swing; hey; hey" may sound simple. This dance is liable to be chaotic.
